Joshua E. Bryson, Partner
Josh graduated from Cape Breton University in 1999 with dual undergraduate degrees in Business and Arts (Psychology). He then attended Dalhousie Law School, earning his law degree in 2002. Drawn to the beautiful South Shore, Josh began articling with the firm and was called to the bar in 2003. He became a partner in 2007.
Josh's main areas of practice include Family Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Litigation. Since his call to the bar, he has conducted hundreds of trials across Nova Scotia, including jury trials, and has appeared at all levels of court in the province. For over twenty years, Josh has served as an agent for both the Public Prosecution Service of Canada and the Public Prosecution Service of Nova Scotia, handling numerous high-profile cases.
Notably, Josh was lead counsel for a family during the Federal and Provincial Mass Casualty Inquiry into the tragic mass shooting in Portapique, Nova Scotia, on April 18-20, 2020.
Originally from Coxheath, Cape Breton, Josh now resides in Lunenburg County with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys hockey, CrossFit, running, and golf.
