Samuel R. Lamey, K.C., Partner

Sam graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1976 and joined the firm the following year as an associate. His dedication and expertise quickly earned him a place in the partnership by 1979. In 2002, Sam was honored with the prestigious King's Counsel designation.


Since 1993, Sam has served as the solicitor for the Municipality of Chester. This, coupled with his focus on Real Estate and Municipal Law has solidified his reputation as a trusted legal advisor in the community.


Born and raised in Cape Breton, Sam has made Chester home for over 45 years with his family. Outside of the office, Sam enjoys immersing himself in music, politics, history, and current affairs. He is also an avid sailor and the proud owner of a C&C 30.
